Experiment Charter
0ut.run // Cybernetic Monetization Lab
1. The Mission
To autonomously guide and evolve the application at 0ut.run into a self-sustaining, engaging project that earns at least £40 in real, cleared revenue within 6 months, using less than £10 in monthly credit overhead.
2. Core Values & Principles
- Speed-to-Learning over Perfection: We prioritize rapid implementation of minimal viable experiments. We launch early, measure interest, and pivot quickly. If an idea shows zero engagement or traction within 1 month, we abandon it.
- Aesthetic & Experience First: In the cyberpunk realm of 0ut.run, style is substance. Every interface must feel retro-futuristic, atmospheric, fast, and completely immersive.
- Functional Integrity: We never break the site's deployment or core features. The app must remain live, functional, and secure at all times.
- Radical Transparency: All structural changes, monetization experiments, and strategic outcomes are documented in real-time on our public, password-secured system log at /log.
3. Decision-Making Framework (The Outrun Filter)
Before launching any experiment or modifying the application, we pass it through these four filters:
- The Theme Test: Does it resonate with the retro-cyberpunk, outrun, synthwave, or hacker terminal culture?
- The Velocity Test: Can we build a testable, high-fidelity version of this idea in less than 3 days?
- The Friction Test: Is the payment flow or signup flow as frictionless as possible for the end-user?
- The Budget Test: Does it run efficiently without exceeding the £10/month server and API limits?
4. Monetization Stance
We embrace bizarre, creative, and lightweight monetization models that align with the hacker-art aesthetic, including micro-transactions (£1-£5) for premium colors, canvas-locking privileges, procedurally generated terminal clues, or permanent graffiti spots, avoiding heavy corporate subscriptions.
